I have a pair and I like them. Larger than even the 511.

I think an M19 clone based on them would be cool.

But with that, the M19 is really a simple bass reflex bottom end, with the 811 horn and a pretty decent crossover. The cabs are way cool looking, but still just a basic BR.

That said, here are my 19's with the 994 on top just to play with.

If a guy had 19's, and wanted to build new tops, you could put this together.

Were I to start from scratch, I'd build duplicates, with ducted ports, use the -8B woofs and the 902-8a drivers.

    Would be a fun project.

As it is, I love my 19's as modded. Look ma, no vanes in the 811's! Oh, I said I'd never mention that again....I lied!

Are you sure they aren't MRII594A's there, the ones that take 288 series drivers?

Hmm, IIRC the only difference between the two expansions is that the 594 is a truncated 994 to create a larger throat same as the 511E Vs 511B, so from the front you're not likely to notice which it is.

Note that this will tune the cab ~6 Hz lower with the existing 2" vent length if I did the math right, so removing the vents to create two slightly larger vents 3/4" deep should bring it back up close enough if the lower tuning leans the bass out too much for you.

Yep. The MRII594/MR994 share HxW dimensions, and only 7/10" difference in length.

    Re: DIY M19 idea's

Once you slip a 994 in an ~M19 sized box and add the requisite shaping filter, you begin to notice it's more like an M500/9815/A-15 than an M19 (which isn't a bad thing at all). Then you get to longing for the extra ~octave a 3154 can get you, and you abandon the M19 altogether and build some modified M500s/9815s/A-15s.

All can be done with new GPA components too, save for the MR994...

Yep, then all you need is a second 3154 in the M19's net Vb to get a SET friendly sensitivity.

    Hello Russ.

May I ask one more question: is every wall, including the bottom and top of each enclosure, lined with fiber glass and to what thickness.

    Many thanks.

Nope, these fit the small format drivers.
